Magnetic Rock in the NE Arrowhead region of Minnesota. It drives your compass wild and there was actually a small refrigerator magnet attached to it as I walked up. Years ago it was a difficult rock to find among the great trees of Northern MN. However, over the last 40 years there have been at least 3 major forest fires in this area, the latest in 2007. The trees in the background on the left side of this photo are in the BWCAW (Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness). If you've never been there, it should be on your 'bucket list'.
